ELLE Decor A-List interior designer and architect William Sofield, of Studio Sofield, is known for his wide-ranging projects that include private residences, luxury high-rises, and fashion boutiques. But a pair of buildings on New York City's Upper East Side might be his most ambitious--and beautiful--yet. Beckford Tower and Beckford House, on East 80th Street and East 81st Street respectively, are the perfect example of Sofield's elegant yet modern aesthetic. Ranging from 21 stories (Beckford House) to 31 stories (Beckford Tower), the buildings feature tons of amenities in one- to six-bedroom residences.
