Dedication To Craftsmanship And
Decades-Long Career

October 2020

If you’ve ever stepped foot in a Gucci, Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent or Harry Winston boutique, you’re familiar with Studio Sofield’s interior architecture and design. And chances are, if you’ve flipped through pages of Architectural Digest, you’ve seen the firm’s chic interiors within a multimillion-dollar Aspen ski home, or seen his other impressive works in The New York Times, Departures, Elle Décor and more. Founder William Sofield is one of the most prolific designers of our time with a meticulous attention to detail and a chic aesthetic, using unexpected materials to create a livable work of art. The New York-based designer is a self-taught carpenter and artisan (he once hand-veneered a dining room with eggshell marquetry and casts all of his hardware with P.E. Guerin) who values craftsmanship and ingenuity.
